Crean Lutheran will continue to work alongside the Orange County Health Care Agency and California Department of Public Health as updates to this guidance are communicated.

On Monday, November 30th, Governor Newsom announced that more “drastic” measures, including potential stay-at-home orders, may be enacted in the coming days/weeks to further mitigate the spread of COVID-19. According to the Association of California School Administrators, a group that is working closely with Governor Newsom’s administration, schools that are currently open may remain open for in-person instruction; therefore, Crean Lutheran’s current instructional format, which includes offering families the option of two modalities (i.e. in-person or synchronous) will continue.
Since the onset of the pandemic, Crean Lutheran faculty and staff have diligently sought to maintain a rigorous learning environment while protecting the health and safety of all our Saints community. In addition to the extensive campus-wide measures we adopted at the start of the school year, we added temperature screening and active classroom air filtration as Orange County entered the “Purple Tier” (under the Governor’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy) in mid-November. Praise be to God for His hand of protection over us, as we have experienced minimal exposure to the virus on our campus!

Crean Lutheran’s leadership team and Board of Directors consider not only the health and safety of students, families, faculty, and staff members, but also recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
