"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
Missons at Crean Lutheran
“I am a servant.”
Jesus made this message clear when He told His followers in Mark 10:45, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve.” Jesus Christ, Son of God, Prince of Peace, King of Glory---humble servant? It was a radically reimagined model of how one should live their life.
It’s no coincidence that this exact statement serves as one of Crean Lutheran’s three student-learner outcomes, and it is with this model in mind that our school seeks the outcome of servanthood for our students. We seek to serve as we strive to pattern our lives--and our students’ lives--after Christ’s.
This service and education in service take place in a variety of contexts; from Compton to Anaheim to Jamaica and El Salvador. Though our students serve, learn, and grow in a variety of places, our goal is always the same: to let our “light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to Your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14).
