While at CSUSM, Lindsay was the Co-President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and a member of the Intercollegiate Athlete Committee (IAC) where she worked to improve the student-athlete experience by promoting integrity, responsibility, leadership, and sportsmanship. After graduating CSUSM, Lindsay continued her education at Concordia University in Irvine, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Coaching and Exercise Science. Her program focused on the practical application of knowledge in the disciplines of coaching, athletic administration, and exercise science. The program combined instructional methods in sports science and included materials emphasizing ethical practices and principles in real-life situations. While at Concordia, Lindsay was a graduate assistant for the softball program, where she assisted with various tasks, including game management, practice planning, scouting, and field maintenance. Lindsay also planned and managed Concordia's Annual "Evening with the Eagles" fundraiser and the softball programs' very first NCAA softball tournament at Orange County Great Park. Sideline Cheer Team
The Saints Cheer Program is a discipline of cheer that involves athletes in a scholastic setting who cheer in support of other sports, most often football and basketball. The sideline cheerleaders' primary role is supporting the other athletic programs through leading the crowd at games and pep rallies as well as promoting school spirit overall. The cheerleaders may also participate in competitions, performing a 2 1/2 minute routine composed of tumbling, stunting, pyramids, dance, and cheer segments.
