Saints Girls Flag Football is a Christ-centered program that competes in the Fall season. This will be the final year the league is run through the Matt Leinart organization, as in 2023-2024 girls high school flag will be adopted as an official high school sport. The season runs from September through November, with games scheduled to begin September 9. November 2 will be the opening round of playoff pool play. Teams will be placed in four pools of three teams each. Each team will have a game against the other teams in their pool, with the top team from each pool advancing out to the November 9th Semis and Championship.
There are two leagues that compete in the Matt Leinart organization with a total of 12 teams. Crean Lutheran High School is in the South Coast League and plays Wednesday evenings at the Orange County Great Park. Practices are twice a week on Monday evenings and Friday mornings. Athletes are also asked to complete homework assignments of watching game film on Hudl of their opponent and our last game to prepare for the week ahead. Students that complete an entire season receive 0.5 PE credit.
