Competition Cheer & Stunt
Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:4-5
ATHLETIC CLEARANCE DAY IS MAY 30th AT 4:00 P.M. - MAKE IT A POINT TO BE THERE!
What is STUNT:
STUNT is a female (Spring) Sport that is title IX compliant for colleges using the best of athletes’ specialized skills in stunting, jumps, and tumbling.
NFHS Article: STUNT Has Potential to Transform Cheerleading Culture
All athletes must have STUNT (Competitive Cheer) on their schedule, and attend practice every Tuesday/Thursday morning from 6:00-7:30 in the Event Center.
Dual Sport Athletes
It IS POSSIBLE that an athlete may do two CIF sports in the Spring, but it requires communication between the athlete and BOTH sport coaches. CIF rules are that no athlete may practice/compete over 18 hours in 1 week. Games are assumed to take up 3 of those hours. Since STUNT practices 3 hours a week, with an OCCASSIONAL 3 hour game week, athletes may not spend more than 14 hours in their other sport a week to be eligible to compete for both.
We NEED parents to make this program have a successful second season
- Parent volunteers to work games (gate, snack shack, scoreboard, announce, film, stats, setup, etc.). Program Fundraiser to keep costs down.
- Parent volunteer drivers, if needed (dependent on schools transportation system)
