The Saints Boys' Lax coaching staff is excited about what the Spring 2020 season holds for this young program (beginning its third season). The varsity team this year is senior rich, which means from a guts, athleticism, and leadership standpoint we are looking forward to a tremendous, competitive season. This year's team is committed and hard working, and is eager to grow throughout the season, with its eye on earning a spot in the first CIFSS sanctioned lacrosse playoffs in May.
Saints lacrosse stands for more than just winning, though. Our team bible verse articulates our primary goal: "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:17. The Saints laxers will be striving not only to compete well, but to glorify our God--the Creator of the universe--while playing, manifesting the true meaning of the original game, referred to as "The Creator's Game" by the Native Americans who played it long before us.
This year's team is led by a healthy senior class, filled with men of character. The key players will show themselves as the season progresses, and the coaches project that every single one on the varsity roster will come up big at some point in the season. The team captains this year are Tyler Buban (Sr. Midfielder), Nick Placek (Sr. Defense/LSM), David Beckman (Jr. Goalie), and Nolan Folsom (Jr. Midfielder).
