The Mirror is Crean Lutheran High School’s literature and arts magazine. The magazine publishes the works of Crean Lutheran’s top writers and artists, including alumni.
Submission Form
Crean Lutheran is now accepting submissions for Volume 7 of our Literature & Arts Magazine The Mirror to be published in Spring 2026.
The Volume 7 theme is "Light." The theme verse is John 8:12: Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Artwork: For this year’s theme, we would like to invite you to submit only black and white pieces in a variety of 2D and 3D mediums (oil, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, ink, ceramics, photography, mixed media, printmaking, etc.). Black and white artwork heightens the contrast between darkness and light and emphasizes texture, line, form, shape, and space.
Literature: we will include both themed and non-themed submissions, but themed submissions will have a higher chance of being selected. Consider the theme verse and the symbolism of light and darkness.
All student, alumni, and faculty submissions are welcome.
