Counseling
‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ Jeremiah 29:11
Crean Lutheran Counselors seek to shepherd students through high school, prepare students for college, and ultimately trust in the Lord's plan over their lives. Over four years, students will invest time, talent, and energy painting a self-portrait which represents not only their academic standing, but also, and more importantly, their character, leadership, and volunteerism. The mission of Crean Lutheran High School is Proclaiming Jesus Christ through Excellence in Education, and within the context of that mission, our counselors challenge students to meet their potential and enter college and the workplace as capable individuals who represent and glorify Christ in whatever they pursue!
Four Year College Planning
College Counseling
Crean Lutheran offers a comprehensive counseling program in which counselors are devoted to helping students identify their academic and extra-curricular passion(s) as well as their God-given strengths so that students are well angled applicants in their collegiate endeavors. Our counselors provide an individually tailored approach to each student through specialized four-year planning services. Specifically, we provide a Freshman Counselor whose expertise is geared towards the unique needs of a 9th grader; transitioning to high school successfully, navigating a rigorous schedule and getting connected to campus life. Our other counselors transition students to focus on and prepare for standardized testing (SAT/ACT), college planning via Naviance Student, course selection, campus involvement and commitment to the community and church.
SAT/ACT Prep
Through a partnership with The College Blueprint, Crean Lutheran High School students are eligible to enroll in one free ACT or SAT prep class. Classes are offered throughout the school year, as well as during the summer. ACT and SAT prep classes are held on campus at Crean Lutheran High School.
