Counseling

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6

Crean Lutheran Counselors seek to shepherd students through high school, prepare students for college, and ultimately trust in the Lord's plan over their lives. Over four years, students will invest time, talent, and energy painting a self-portrait which represents not only their academic standing, but also, and more importantly, their character, leadership, and volunteerism. The mission of Crean Lutheran High School is Proclaiming Jesus Christ through Excellence in Education, and within the context of that mission, our counselors challenge students to meet their potential and enter college and the workplace as capable individuals who represent and glorify Christ in whatever they pursue!

Comprehensive School Counseling

Crean Lutheran High School, guided by the mission of Proclaiming Jesus Christ through Excellence in Education, provides credentialed Christian counselors who support students in the areas of academic preparedness, college and career readiness, social and emotional support, and spiritual health offered through a Christian worldview. Our approach to counseling encourages partnership between the student, family, and school. Our primary goal is to instill the Saints Values and our Schoolwide Learner Outcomes to prepare students for college, career, and a life of Christian service. In the book of Proverbs 3:5-6, we are told, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Crean Lutheran counselors share the belief that each student is made in God’s image and is individually blessed with gifts, talents, and opportunities to glorify the Lord [1 Peter 4:10]. Furthermore, students have access to a comprehensive school counseling program that serves their academic, college, career, personal, social, and spiritual development (Ephesians 2:8-10) regardless of their learning differences, race, ethnicity, gender (Genesis 1:26-27), or nationality. We believe that each student has God-given abilities that will allow him or her to achieve success in high school as well as in their post-secondary path (Proverbs 11:14).
